Why The ‘Easiest Way’ To Do Things In Your Recruitment or Search Business Isn’t Always The ‘Best Way’…

One question I’m quite often asked by Recruitment or Search Firm owners is:

“What’s the easiest way to do things”

For example, … What’s the easiest way to attract more clients…?

Or the easiest way to generate more leads…

It’s an understandable question to ask in fairness…

But asking this question might not get you the actual answer you’re looking for…

In fact… Asking this question is often an indicator you’re looking for quick results that might be short lived rather than a long term sustainable plan for growth…

Because the easiest way, isn’t always the best way…

Here’s what I mean…

The easiest way to lose weight is probably surgery or some sort…

Assuming you can actually afford it… Just book your appointment, show up and the weight is gone…

Problem solved…

Although without changing anything else… You’re probably going to start piling the extra pounds on again in no time…

On the other hand…

The BEST way to lose weight would be to drastically change your lifestyle… Start eating healthier, start exercising more and drink more water…

It will take a lot longer than surgery before you see results…

And as anyone who’s ever tried to do this will tell you, it’s hard and even painful…

But assuming you keep up the good habits, it’s more of a long term solution rather than a quick fix….

And in your Recruitment or Search Business…

Perhaps the easiest way to get more clients would be to offer your services dirt cheap… Free even…

And work with all the ‘bottom feeder’ clients who are constantly on the look out for something for nothing…

There’s plenty of people like this about so I’m sure you’ll pick up clients with ease…

But would they be the right kind of clients?…

Almost certainly not…

Would your business be profitable?…

Nope…

Would you actually enjoy working with people who don’t actually appreciate the true value of what you do?

Again… Almost certainly not!

These might be some quite extreme examples… But hopefully you get my point…

A better question might be;

“What’s the most profitable way to do things in my Recruitment or Search Business”

And the answer to that question would be completely different…
