I read that quote a while ago and thought it especially applied to us in the Recruitment industry…
Most the Recruitment and Search Firm owners I speak to, no matter what level they’re currently performing at, know deep down that they are nowhere near their full potential…
They live two lives…
They live one life in their current reality….
Running their current business and getting their current results….
But they know they have the potential for MORE….
They might be doing well at the moment…
But they know they could be doing better….
They live another life in fantasy…
For most… If they’re brutally honest with themselves, when it comes to their business growth and profits they’re barely scraping the surface…
They’re playing at it…
That’s not to say they don’t work hard, in fact quite the opposite is true! They work hard, but in the wrong areas. So despite putting the hours in, end up in the exact same place…
Treading water…
… If you’ve got no ambition or desire to drive your business forward that’s fine…
But for a lot of the Recruitment and Search Firm owners I know, treading water feels like drowning!
