Let’s rap about talkers and doers…
The Recruitment industry if full of both parties so you’re bound to have come across these sets of people before.
And even if you haven’t, it’s self-evident who’s who.
“Talkers” are forever telling you what they’re “gonna do”. They have plans, goals, big ideas, and dreams that somehow never, ever come to fruition.
We’ll come to the reasons why they do this in just a minute…
The “doers”, on the other hand, also have plans, they also have goals, big ideas and dreams too… But they’re prepared to actually DO the work involved!
Their talking is quickly followed by action!
…They’ll tell you what they’ve “done”, and what they’re “doing”… Not just what they’re “going to do”!
They roll their sleeves up and do the work.
So the question is…
What separates the talkers and the doers?
Why are the talkers so reluctant to get up and actually do something??
Well…
It comes down to many things,
Off the top of my head, it could be the fear failure, laziness, belief it “can’t happen for me”, the need for certainty… I could go on.
Thing is, no matter what the reasons, they all boil down to one thing: excuses.
