There’s no shortcut…

I love shortcuts. It started when I was a kid. And I’d be constantly looking for ways to cut my walk to school in half. I’d climb fences, Jump over bushes, Get myself into trouble dashing through a neighbours back garden without permission. I’d look for the shortest possible route all the time. I’m still the same today. And you’re probably the same too when you think about it. You still take shortcuts all the time. You probably didn’t BUILD the computer you’re using, did you? No, you bought it. That was a shortcut. You probably didn’t grow ALL the food you ate last night; you paid someone else to do it for you. THAT was a shortcut too… But when it comes to business, so often we’re told that’s one area of life where there are NO shortcuts to success. But it’s complete BS. Shortcuts are everywhere! Some of the worlds most successful businesses have been born out of creating a shortcut to something we already had. Amazon and other online retail outlets are shortcuts to going to the store in person. Letters, emails, phone, text and even faxes are all shortcuts to speaking face to face. Jobs that used to take hours, sometimes DAYS or even weeks, are DONE almost instantly with shortcuts. And yet still we’re told there are NO shortcuts in business. When the truth ACTUALLY is this: SHORTCUTS are ESSENTIAL to business success. Especially as a Recruitment or Search Business Owner. Shortcuts are progress…They’re there to help you get to your goals faster. Used ethically they help people be BETTER served – faster and more efficiently.
