The Impractical Side of Your Recruitment or Search Business

One of my favourite shows at the moment is a hidden camera show called ‘Impractical Jokers’…

If you haven’t seen it…

It follows four mates as they take turns coercing one another into doing public pranks while being filmed by hidden cameras….

The show differs from other prank television programs in that the stars of Impractical Jokers don’t know the details of the prank until the very moment they are performing it on strangers…

And while one of the four performs the prank, the other three are behind the scenes feeding lines to their friend via a hidden ear piece, while watching them on a large TV…

It’s basically four mates taking turns putting each other though a series of embarrassing tasks…

For example, … In one episode, the four friends have to take it in turns to attach balloons to unsuspecting customers in a grocery store, with the loser being the first person to get caught in the act…

Very stupid… But very funny too…

Anyway… They don’t perform these tasks just for the sake of the show… It’s actually a competition!

And whoever has completed the least amount of tasks at the end of the show LOSES and has to do a forfeit…

Basically… If you get too uncomfortable and back out of whatever challenge you’ve been given… You lose!

It’s kind of like the Recruitment/Search Industry…

You see… I’m always getting my clients do to things that make them uncomfortable….

Things that push them outside of their comfort zones…

Because that’s exactly what you have to do if you want to improve the results you’re getting…

To grow your Recruitment or Search Business, you’re going to have to step outside your comfort zone and do a lot of stuff you find uncomfortable…

Stuff like firing bad clients…

Turning away business…

Raising your prices…

Violating the industry norms…

Relentlessly marketing your business….

Firing underperforming staff….

That’s some uncomfortable shit for most Recruitment or Search Business owners…

But the reality is….
