Sometimes you’ve just got to ask yourself;
“What’s my favourite flavour of shit sandwich and does it come with an olive?”
Sounds like a strange question but hear me out…
I read an online article a while back that delivered a list of some home truths about life that I think everybody needs to hear, but most people don’t have the guts or the sense to say…
The first of which was this…
“Everything sucks, some of the time…”
… Possibly not the first thing you want to read in the morning but it’s true… And the sooner we all face up to that reality the better!
… And what I mean by that is, everything involves sacrifice of some sort at some time…. Whatever it is you want to do and whatever it is you want to achieve there will always be some ‘cost’ involved!
So before you can really commit to achieving anything, a question you’ll need to answer is; “what struggle or sacrifice are you willing to make?”
Because if you aren’t willing to make the sacrifices, you aren’t going to get the results and I can’t put it any simpler than that…
The following is a direct quote from the article….
“If you want to be a brilliant tech entrepreneur, but you can’t handle failure, then you’re not going to make it far. And to put that into clear and simple terms you’ll understand… If you want to be the leading Recruitment or Search Firm in your field, the “go to” person in your sector, or even if you just want to make a better living than you are now… But you’re not willing to make the scarifies, you may as well just pack it in now and go and get a job for someone who’s taking this business more seriously…
