How Carys Quadrupled her business revenue

A while ago a Recruitment Business owner in the UK called Carys Mills joined one of my programs…

She wanted to do better in her business, more revenue, higher profits…

But she didn’t necessarily want to work harder because she didn’t want her business to take time away from her kids..


Within 12 weeks of joining the program, she had experienced her best ever quarter in business (she’d been in operation for 9 years) without working any harder… AND without employing any more consultants!

And as if that wasn’t impressive enough… Over the following 12 months, she quadrupled her business revenue from the previous year…

So how did she do it?

1.) She increased her fees – It doesn’t take a genius to work out that IF you get paid more for what you do; you’ll make more money. The problem is, most Recruitment and Search Firm Owners either don’t know how to do it. Or, know how to do it but haven’t got the guts. Cary’s did it and hasn’t looked back since!

2.) She changed who she was targeting – Increasing your fees is one thing, but what if your clients won’t pay your higher fees? It’s simple, work with people who will. Again it doesn’t take a genius to work this out, but you need to have the guts to do it.

3.) She built a marketing system that had her ideal clients coming to her – You’ll hear me talk about this a lot. And with good reason! Almost every business challenge or headache you have right now can be solved by building an effective marketing system that brings in the right clients, at the right fee, whenever you want them.

4.) She stopped working on contingency and started working on retainers – Most Recruitment Business Owners that work on contingency only ever fill 30% of the jobs they work on. So at least 70% of the time they’re working without getting paid. She simply started getting paid for the work she was doing which meant she could actually work less but earn more.

5.) She got the right help – As a Recruitment and Search Business Owner, you’re probably really good at recruitment, you probably already offer an exceptional service to your clients, so you perhaps don’t need “recruitment” help. But in my opinion, you should always seek help in the areas you’re weakest in or the areas you want to improve.

So if you want to improve your marketing so you’re attracting more of the right clients, get help!

If you want to increase your sales by converting more of your meetings into new business, get help!

Want to improve your team performance, get help!

Now, you might think I’m bound to say that because it suits me, which it does…

But if you don’t want help from me that fine, it doesn’t have to be from me. Just make sure you get SOMEONE!

And make sure that “someone” is actually going to help you get the results you want!
